Using old, unevenly worn pads can create "hot spots" on your new rotor, leading to premature warping or noise. During installation, use a high-quality brake cleaner to remove the protective film from the rotor surface and always use a small dab of medium-strength thread locker on your rotor bolts to prevent them from loosening due to engine vibration.
