Moose Offroad — 7075 T651 Aerospace-Grade Aluminum, Precision Machined Performance, and Maximum Chain Contact
Upgrade your drivetrain with the precision and lightweight strength of the Moose Offroad 1211-822-48-11 Rear Aluminum Sprocket. Specifically engineered for Beta, Gas Gas, and Sherco off-road machines, this 48-tooth sprocket is designed for racers and enthusiasts who demand a perfect balance between weight savings and long-term durability. By utilizing aerospace-grade 7075 T651 aluminum, Moose Offroad provides a sprocket that significantly reduces rotating unsprung weight, leading to faster acceleration and improved suspension response.
Unlike standard sprockets that are often stamped or ground, every Moose Offroad sprocket is 100% CNC-machined to exact tolerances. This process ensures perfect concentricity and a superior tooth profile. The T651 tempering process provides additional stability, reducing distortion over time compared to typically thinner 7075 T6 alternatives. The result is optimal tooth thickness that maximizes contact between the chain and sprocket, spreading the load evenly to extend the life of your entire drivetrain.
- 7075 T651 Aluminum: Aerospace-grade material with extra tempering to reduce distortion and maintain thickness.
- 100% CNC Machined: No stamping or grinding; precision-cut for perfect alignment and smooth power transfer.
- 48-Tooth Profile: Ideal for riders looking to fine-tune their gear ratio for better bottom-end snap or mid-range pull.
- Maximum Chain Contact: Optimal tooth thickness ensures full engagement with 520-size chains for reduced wear.
- Broad Application: Precision fitment for Beta RR models, Gas Gas EC/MC series, and Sherco SE models.
Moto-House MX Pro Tip:
When installing a new aluminum rear sprocket, we always recommend installing a fresh, high-quality 520 chain at the same time. Running an old, stretched chain on a new aluminum sprocket will cause the teeth to wear prematurely (often called "hooking"). For the best results, use new sprocket bolts and apply medium-strength thread locker to ensure they stay secure through the heavy torque loads of off-road riding. Periodically check your chain tension; a properly adjusted chain is the best way to preserve the life of your lightweight aluminum sprocket.

FAQ Questions
Q) Is aluminum as durable as steel for sprockets?
A) While steel lasts longer, 7075 T651 aluminum is incredibly strong and used specifically to reduce rotating mass. This results in much better performance and handling, though it does require more frequent maintenance checks than steel.
Q) Will this fit my 2025 Beta?
A) This sprocket pattern fits most Beta RR models from 2005 to 2025, along with many Gas Gas and Sherco models. Please verify your hub pattern matches the 1211-822 series.
