Moose Offroad Pro Skid Plate 0506-1888 — 2021-2024 KTM 1290 Super Adventure / Super Duke

Product Description

Protect your high-performance adventure motorcycle's lower frame rails, vital engine cases, and water pump from severe trail hazards with the Moose Offroad Pro Skid Plate. Custom-molded specifically for aggressive off-road and adventure riding, this vibrant orange skid plate provides precise coverage underneath your chassis. Its tailored fitment prevents rock roost and hard impacts from damaging critical engine components without restricting natural frame flex.

Manufactured from ultra-lightweight 6mm high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this composite guard is up to 40% lighter than standard aluminum plates. The resilient material absorbs hard impacts and springs back to its original shape rather than bending or deforming into your engine cases. Additionally, the HDPE construction dampens mechanical noise and completely eliminates metal-on-metal vibration and resonance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is mounting hardware included with this skid plate?
A: Yes, the Moose Offroad Pro Skid Plate includes all required mounting hardware along with step-by-step installation instructions.

Q: What are the main benefits of an HDPE composite skid plate over aluminum?
A: HDPE skid plates are up to 40% lighter, bounce back from hard impacts without permanently bending into engine cases, and eliminate mechanical engine rattle and noise amplification.

Expert Pro-Tip: Prior to bolting on your skid plate, thoroughly clean your frame rails and apply thin strips of adhesive foam or rubber tape along the contact points. This creates a cushion between the skid plate and the frame, preventing fine sand and grit from scratching the powder coat during rough rides.
