Collection: Alpinestars - World-Leading Manufacturer of Professional Racing Products. One Goal. One Vision
In 1963, a deft craftsman of leather, Sante Mazzarolo, gave birth to what would become an iconic symbol of the future. Nestled in the charming Northern Italian town of Asolo, and adopting its name from the perennial Alpine star flower, Mazzarolo set out to create the inaugural products under the Alpinestars banner. During this era, a burgeoning sport, motocross, was taking Europe by storm. With a keen awareness of this emerging sport, Sante seized the opportunity to harness his artistic talent and technical expertise to invent a unique type of footwear. This footwear was designed to meet the robust protective needs and demands of this enchanting yet rigorous sport. The trailblazing boot envisioned and crafted by Mazzarolo would go on to become a paradigm in motocross protection.
Soon after establishing the company in its state-of-the-art headquarters in Maser, Northern Italy, Sante turned his attention to the creation of an innovative, transformative boot for local enduro and motocross riders. These riders, who had started importing motorcycles from overseas, were pioneers in the formation of off-road motorcycle racing. Sante's boot quickly gained recognition as a leader in the industry, setting the standard for racing performance. The development of the boot was an ongoing process from the moment the first one was produced, fueled by invaluable rider feedback. Come the early 1970s, Roger de Coster had helped Alpinestars secure its first World Motocross Championship honor.
