Hinson Racing - officially Hinson Clutch Components - was founded in 1992 by Wayne Hinson and builds its clutch components in Upland, California. The company came out of real race work: in 1989 Wayne became the tuner for ATV Grand National Champion Gary Denton and helped him win seven of his record eight Grand National Championships, machining one-off parts for the race bike along the way, including clutch baskets. That basket work became the business. Hinson parts are precision machined from T-6 billet aircraft-quality aluminum to aerospace tolerances and hard coated for roughly five times the wear resistance of stock with proper maintenance. Their Billetproof line is what riders know them for.
