1. Clean your petroleum oiled air filter using solvents as you normally would.
2. After that, prepare a clear bucket with soap and warm water.
3. Submerge your air filter into the soapy water and gently wash it.
4. Once you have sufficiently washed the filter, remove it from the bucket and let it dry.
5. Observe the bottom of the bucket, and you will see the remaining dirt that the solvents alone could not remove.
