FunnelWeb Air (FWF) Proline Dirt Bike Air Filter – What is so different about this filter over the competition.
Your typical two stage foam (dual stage) are used to trap maxima amount of dirt before entering your intake system, then into your engine. They use a cores open-pore design to trap large particles of dirt. Then a fine inner foam to increase filtration even further. This will help greatly reduce the dirt entering your engine. Does the finer denser foam also reduce air flow? That is something I cant tell you, but just a thought, maybe??
FunnelWeb Filter (FWF) – Is different it uses a single layer (single density) which is used to double up the outside surface of the filter. FunnelWeb uses a unique outer profile and polyurethane foam increase the surface area. This allows the filter to trap more dirt on the outside of the filter while still offering optimum air flow.
All FunnelWeb Air Filters utilize the latest technology in open cell polyurethane foam with a pyramid profiled. This substantially increases the filter's surface area enabling it to trap far more dirt on its outside surface preventing harmful dust from penetrating through. The pyramid shape increases outer surface area without greatly increasing the overall size of the filter.
